MILLER:
'I REMAIN GREAT FRIENDS WITH EX-WIFE ANGELINA'
British actor JONNY LEE MILLER remains such good friends
with his ex-wife ANGELINA JOLIE, she sent him to film a segment
of an upcoming documentary in Angolan minefields.
Miller and Jolie divorced in 1999 after nearly three years
of marriage, and the beautiful actress had no problem asking
her ex to undertake the dangerous assignment for a new film
on the state of the planet.
Speaking to US chat show host MEGAN MULLALLY he says, "There's
so much crazy stuff written about Angie, but she's just one
of the most down-to-earth girls you're likely to meet. "We're
such good friends that this documentary she's been putting
together about the globe - she's sent film crews all around
the world - that she's sent me to a minefield in Angola. "There's
a lot of love there."
Jolie recently gave birth to boyfriend BRAD PITT's baby daughter
SHILOH.

Angelina
Jolie Calling ex-Hubby Jonny Lee Miller?
Each time it was alleged that Brad Pitt was phoning his ex
wife Jennifer Anniston it made for great tabloid headlines.
The calls were usually denied somewhere along the way.
Now a published report claims that Angelina Jolie is calling
her ex Jonny Lee Miller.
In Touch Weekly claims in this week's issue that Angelina
turned to her ex while Brad Pitt was away in New Orleans working
on a project in the Big Easy to assist those displaced by
Hurricane Katrina.
Jonny Lee and Angelina married in 1996 and split within a
year, but reportedly remain close.
"Whenever things aren't going well for Angie, she calls
Jonny," a pal tells the weekly magazine. The pal claims
that doesn't sit well with Mr. Pitt and one would figure that
as a normal reaction.
According to friends cited in the article, Angelina feels
like Jonny understands her like no one else. "He knows
that deep down, she's still that mixed up, punky little kid
that he met when she was just 19," the chatty pal tells
IT.
Let's hope that's not the case as Jolie now has three kids
and seems to have matured well past "19."

Jolie's
ex pulls out of marathon
Angelina Jolie's ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller has pulled out
of a gruelling 150 mile marathon across the Sahara desert.
The British actor was set to run the Marathon des Sables,
a seven day
straight sprint across desert, for UK charity Mencap.
Instead, he will be filming his new movie, the fittingly
titled Marathon, in Los Angeles. A source said: "Jonny
would have given the event some much-needed publicity so it
was a real blow when he cancelled."
A spokesperson for the actor, who shot to fame in cult Scottish
movie Trainspotting, said: "Jonny is very disappointed
too. He's been doing an awful lot of training for it, but
unfortunately he will be in Los Angeles filming at the time."

that Beyond Films will be unveiling at the Berlin Film Festival

Jonny Lee Miller and Oscar nominee Tom (EXORCISM OF EMILY

base, his brother is launched into space in order to test
their powers of telepathy. Forced into intimate and prolonged

Flux: Frank's Take
The standby decision not to screen Aeon Flux for critics may
have been justified, decides Frank. After all, why would Paramount
Pictures risk the uneasy notion of having sceptical movie
reviewers bad-mouth their sci-fi jolting gibberish which could
hurt the box office potential of seeing desirable Charlize
Theron bend like a rubber pretzel in a tight-fitting black
outfit?

FILM SADDLED US WITH £500K BILL
FURIOUS film workers say they've been left £500,000
out of pocket after a movie which went bust was rescued by
administrators. The Flying Scotsman - a biopic about cyclist
Graeme Obree - could be released next year after administrators
Tenon Recovery agreed to stump up extra cash to get it finished.
But dozens of people who worked over the summer on the £3million
film have not been paid - and they fear they will never see
their money. Location manager Stephen Burt said: "I am
personally around £4500 out of pocket.
"When the film went down it left loads of crew members,
suppliers and other contractors unpaid"I am absolutely
furious that it now looks like money has been found to finish
the film while all these people are being left penniless.
"There is every chance that the production will go on
to be sold for a massive amount to a distributor while I and
everyone else will never get paid."
The Flying Scotsman features Trainspotting star Jonny Lee
Miller and Billy Boyd, hobbit Peregrine Took in the Lord Of
The Rings trilogy. Kenneth Craig, of Tenon Recovery, said:
"We are working hard to try to make sure the film gets
finished and this is the best course of action. "If it
doesn't get finished nobody will get any money back. This
way there is an opportunity to turn the situation around

Obree
film makers go into Administration December 08, 2005
Mel Films, the production company behind the £3m Hollywood
bio-pic on Graeme Obree, has been placed into administration.
'The Flying Scotsman', starring 'Trainspotting' star Jonny
Lee Miller, had finished filming and should make it to the
big screen despite the latest setback. In 2002, the film was
scuppered when the US financier keeled over and died.
The film's production company may have been placed in administration
but there are a raft of funding partners and the film should
not die this time around.
The financing partners include NRW, BBC Scotland, Bank of
Ireland, Glasgow Film Office, Pictorion Das Werk, IFC, and
Scottish Screen.
Administrators Tenon Recovery say the film will go ahead.
Kenny Craig, of Tenon Recovery, said: "Our priority is
to make sure The Flying Scotsman is released."

MILLER
DOESN'T HAVE THE LEGS FOR ACTING ROLE
JONNY LEE MILLER's intensive training regime failed to prepare
him for his role as cycling legend GRAEME OBREE in biopic
THE FLYING SCOTSMAN, and the real life Obree was eventually
brought in as a stunt double.
MILLER was thrilled to play the hero who rode a bike made
out of washing machine parts to break the world hour-record
in the 1990s, but was left embarrassed when his leg muscles
didn't make the grade. Obree says, "I'm the legs in the
movie but Jonny did well.

WEST WING FIXATION
British actor JONNY LEE MILLER is such a huge fan of THE WEST
WING he's starting to believe the stars of the hit drama are
his best pals. The TRAINSPOTTING star, ex-husband of ANGELINA
JOLIE, recently spent three months continuously watching the
show, and it's become a huge part of his life.
He says, "I like getting boxed sets of TV shows and
just sitting and watching the whole series. I was working
in Germany and I watched four seasons of The West Wing in
three months. "I was obsessed with it, and I feel like
they are all my friends, like I know them intimately. "I'm
(now) watching 24, because when I finished watching The West
Wing my world fell apart. I had nothing left."

MILLER'S
'EXTREME APPROACH' TO LATEST ROLE
JONNY LEE MILLER shocked co-star BRIAN COX with the gruelling
fitness regime he has imposed on himself to take on the role
of a cycling legend. The veteran British actor believes the
32-year-old need to play cycling legend GRAEME OBREE in THE
FLYING SCOTSMAN as authentically as possible has seen him
adopt a training regime usually only seen in sports professionals.
Cox says, "I often see him out of the car window when
I'm driving to the set, and cheer him on. He's started riding
Graeme Obree's bicycle too, which is partly made out of old
washing machine parts. That Jonny's a strange lad. No one's
making him do it - he just seems to be very enthusiastic."

McGREGOR
HATED HANGOVER MORNINGS WITH LAW + MILLER
EWAN McGREGOR used to dread hangovers when he lived with pals
JUDE LAW and JONNY LEE MILLER in London, because they were
such cheerful drunks.
The Scottish actor shared a home with the pair when they
were all struggling actors looking for regular work - and
he hated the fact that they could pay bills and vacuum with
hangovers while he struggled to get out of bed.
