TRAINSPOTTING
JONNY FALLS FOR SEXY CO-STAR Apr 11 2004 By Dan Evans
MOVIE hunk Jonny Lee Miller has fallen for his on-stage lover
in a West End play.
Friends say Jonny, who played "Sick Boy" in cult
movie Trainspotting, and 28-year-old Ruth Millar are inseparable.
And the affair has put paid to rumours that Jonny was getting
back with his ex-wife, Tomb Raider star Angelina Jolie.
Jonny, 31, and Ruth, who has starred in TV's Footballers'
Wives, have been appearing together in an adaptation of the
Danish play Festen at London's Almeida Theatre. They started
to get close during rehearsals in February and friends say
they are planning a future together.
Last night a theatre source said: "Jonny and Ruth are
playing lovers but the emotions between them are as real as
it gets. There's been no need to act. "This is a very
serious relationship for Jonny. He and Ruth have become inseparable
and are always spending nights at each other's homes. When
they are together they look very much in love. They are always
laughing and joking with each other. She seems really besotted
and can't stop telling friends how much she loves him."
Jonny has a habit of dating his co-stars. He met Angelina
when they were working on the 1995 film Hackers, although
they got divorced four years later. Then in 1999 he fell for
Jennifer Esposito, his co-star in Wes Craven Presents: Dracula
2000. That was followed by an eight-month affair with All
Saints singer Natalie Appleton and an ill-fated engagement
to ex-Holby City actress Lisa Faulkner. But Jonny and Angelina
remained friends, and there were rumours they could become
an item again when they were spotted together at the launch
of the Tomb Raider sequel last August.
Although Jonny and Ruth have not moved in together they divide
their time between his home in Highbury, North London, and
hers in Bethnal Green. Ruth starred as the unhinged stalker
Sheena in Footballers' Wives. She has also had parts in Auf
Weidersehn Pet, Sweet Medicine and The Bill.

snickers at the celebrity marathon
With the Flora London Marathon little more than two weeks
away, Ladbrokes have opened a book on what they describe as
“a celebrity challenge”. Film stars, soap stars,
famous chefs, veteran sporting characters and politicians
are members of the 30-strong field for the celebrity race.
Ladbrokes are offering prices on the first celebrity to finish,
and although this is primarily a fun market there may well
be some value to be had.
Jonny Lee Miller, who appeared in the film Trainspotting,
is 2-1 favourite, and for one who has clocked just over three
hours in the race that is not a bad price.

March
9, 2004 -- ANGELINA Jolie doesn't have a man in her life -
she has several.
The twice-divorced Oscar-winner - who two years ago adopted
a Cambodian orphan she named Maddox - is redefining single
motherhood by taking lovers in the evenings, then going home
to tuck her toddler in.
"I went for about two years with absolutely no man around
me and then decided to get closer to men who were already
very close friends of mine," says the 28-year-old beauty
with characteristic frankness. "It's kind of an adult
way of having adult relationships."
On a drizzly New York day, the lush-lipped actress, who plays
a crack FBI profiler in the upcoming serial-killer thriller
"Taking Lives," spoke to The Post with disarming
honesty about how contented she is flying solo. Dressed casually
in skinny jeans and a taupe knit top, Jolie sounded like so
many successful women when she talked about her unwillingness
to settle for less than the "perfect man," who must
also be a perfect father. The devoted mom says she's "realistic"
enough to doubt that man's existence, and so she's happy to
have occasional trysts that remain "very, very separate"
from her home life.
"As crazy as that sounds, meeting a man in a hotel room
for a few hours and then going back and putting my son to
bed and not seeing that man again for a few months is about
what I can handle now," she says. "I can feel like
a woman and get close to a man but it's not a relationship
that interferes with my family. I've never had a one-night
stand in my life - these are people that I know very well."
She pauses, then laughs: "It's a certain kind of modern
woman, anyway."
Jolie declined to name names, but she and her first husband
Jonny Lee Miller are firm friends - the "Trainspotting"
star accompanied her to the New York premiere of her last
movie, "Beyond Borders."

March 2004 - Sadie: My year of hell. Sadie still friends with
Jonny after divorce from Jude
Some of the people around them were a little too quick to
give advice, she says, but her best friends - her artist friend
Zoe, Kate Moss, model Rosemary Ferguson, fashion PR Jaz Morris,
singer Pearl Goffey - "just listened and gave me big
hugs" while she worked it out for herself. She insists
the divorce hasn't divided their close-knit group. "I'm
still friends with Jonny Lee Miller, for instance, and he's
Jude's best friend. It's the shallow people who take sides,
and I'd rather not be with them anyway."

JOLIE
WISHES SHE HADN'T DIVORCED MILLER
Movie beauty Angelina Jolie regrets divorcing first husband
Jonny Lee Miller -- because he was the perfect spouse.
The buxom star divorced British actor Jonny in 1999 and
has since married and divorced Billy Bob Thornton. And although
Angelina and Jonny remain good friends, the actress now wishes
they'd fought through their differences and stayed together.
She says, "I have no regrets about our marriage -- divorcing
Jonny was probably the dumbest thing I've ever done. He's
the greatest husband a girl could ask for -- we were simply
too young."
Angelina, 28, dismisses tabloid reports she's recently dated
Jonny, Colin Farrell and Nicolas Cage, and finds it difficult
to understand why people can't believe she's single.
She says, "That's what happens when you're single and
working with men. But I don't even have the time to shave
my legs and feel sexy. I'm happy where I am right now. I don't
need to be with someone other than my son. Have I been sleeping
with people? No. It's funny that's shocking to people. I've
gone without sex for a long time before. I had my first boyfriend
when I was 14 and then I didn't sleep with anybody until I
met my first husband at 19."

19, 2004 Angelina Jolie has 'taken a lover'!
Actress Angelina Jolie has finally ended the mystery about
her love life, by announcing that she has taken a lover.
The "Tomb Raider" star has been linked to a host
of celebrities, including Nicolas Cage and her 'Alexander'
co-star Colin Farrell following her divorce from Billy Bob
Thornton last year.
Angelina was clicked on camera last week kissing her first
husband, Jonny Lee Miller, and she has now confirmed that
there is a new man in her life, but refused to reveal his
identity.
"I have now taken a lover. I've been relieved every
time it's been speculated on in the press, because nobody's
got the right guy," Angelina was quoted by imdb.com,
as saying. (ANI)

Feb 7, 2004 Us Weekly article : Angelina's Back with Her First
Husband!
A month after a fling with Colin Farrell, the sexy mom reunites
with ex Jonny Lee Miller - and tells Us [Weekly] it's love.
Will their romance last as long as their tattoos?
By Kevin O'Leary
Last year, Angelina Jolie removed the tattoo of ex-hunband
Billy Bob Thornton's name from her left arm. But on January
28, after a late dinner with pals, the Oscar winner decided
she was ready for more ink - only this time she brought a
different ex along for the ride. Jolie, 28, and British actor
Jonny Lee Miller, 31 - whom she met filming 1995's Hackers,
married in 1996, then separated from the following year -
rooled into West Hollywood's Shamrock Social Club, where they
engaged in some serious smooching before she put down $150
for a new tattoo reading "KNOW YOUR RIGHTS". "They
were very into each other", says Christian Cervantes,
a Shamrock employee. "They weren't hiding." Four
days later, when the couple shared breakfast with her son,
Maddox, 2, at Hollywood's the Griddle Cafe, Jolie (who was
last linked to Colin Farrell in December) made official what
friends had suspected. "I love him," she told Us
[Weekly].
After filing for divorce from Thornton in July 2002, Jolie
reached out for a reunion with Miller, according to one of
his friends, by leaving a number of messages for him that
initially went unreturned (she has even said, "Divorcing
Jonny was probably the dumbest thing I've ever done").
By August 2003, the pair were spotted at the London after-party
for Tomb Raider's sequel. "They've been spending time
with each other pretty constantly since then," says the
source. But a pal of Jolie's wonders if it will last: "He
seems like a nice guy - but she doesn't know what to do with
a nice guy."
Tattoos: Jolie had KNOW YOUR RIGHTS tattooed between her shoulder
blades, and Miller had one small word inked on his left wrist.
"It was something like REVENGE," Shamrock employee
Cervantes recalls.

Jan 2004 Angelina is black in love
THESE pictures prove ANGELINA JOLIE is back in the arms of
her ex-hubby JONNY LEE MILLER. Tomb Raider beauty Angelina
was all in black as she and Jonny visited a tattoo parlour
in LA – where they bumped into JACK OSBOURNE.
My exclusive snaps show the lovebirds have picked up where
they left off after divorcing in 1999. Angelina and the Trainspotting
star met on the set of Hackers in 1994. Maybe the pair were
getting matching tattoos to show their commitment, although
that’s tame by Angelina’s standards. She wrote
Jonny’s name in blood on her shirt when she married
him in 1995. And she swopped little tubes of blood with her
next husband BILLY BOB THORNTON. Give me an old-fashioned
wedding ring any day.
