Trainspotting
star in running for Billy Liar remake. Tuesday 20th November
2001
Jonny Lee Miller is being tipped to claim the role of Billy
Liar in a remake of the '60s classic. Charlize Theron is wanted
to play the role which originally starred Julie Christie.
The new version of Keith Waterhouse's novel is being backed
by the Canadian company Bell Globe Media. Tom Courtenay starred
in the 1963 original as Billy Fisher, who invents the faraway
land of Ambrosia to escape his daily tedium. An insider told
Ananova: "The timing for a new Billy Liar couldn't be better.
So many youngsters are disillusioned and in search of excitement."

Lee Miller and Lisa Faulkner let their romance shine at London's
Light bar.
In the past, actress Lisa Faulkner and British heart-throb
Jonny Lee Miller have often spoken publicly of their admiration
for each other. And judging by the look of delight on their
faces as they left London's Light Bar, it's obvious that the
couple's budding romance has already started to develop into
something much more stable.
Joining a host of stars at actress Sadie Frost's London fashion
week party, held to launch her new FrenchFrost fashion line
with business partner and designer Jemima French, the couple
put paid to the are-they-aren't-they? But it's only now -
after being accepted into the Primrose Hill party set of Jude
Law and wife Sadie - that lovely Lisa seems to have found
her perfect match.

Lee Miller's Brushes With The Dead
Jonny Lee Miller has been chatting with his grandfather -
from beyond the grave. Miller says that he's had his fair
share of interactions with the other side, and actually met
his grandfather on a Ouija board. Miller recalls, "It spelled
out both my mother's name and my grandfather's name and then
delivered a message to my mother. I can't tell you what the
message was but it was very nice." And that wasn't his only
experience with the supernatural. Miller adds, "I used to
work at the Drury Lane theatre and there are lots of ghosts
there, including one that smells. It's the ghost of a performer
called Dan Leno who used lavender oil to cover up the stench
of his bladder problems. You'd be walking around a corridor
and you'd suddenly smell lavender."

Lee Miller skipped Tomb Raider role
JONNY LEE MILLER turned down a supporting role in the cyberflick
TOMB RAIDER. The DRACULA 2000 actor, who shot to fame with
his junkie-character Sick-Boy in TRAINSPOTTING, reveals his
ex-wife ANGELINA JOLIE offered him a small part in her latest
flick. "I saw Angelina a lot when she was in England shooting
Tomb Raider. Of course we met the very first week her shoots
started. Angie asked director SIMON WEST if I could have a
part in the movie, but unfortunately I was too busy. " He
couldn't say which part he was in the running for, but rumours
have it that the DRACULA 2000-star was tipped for the role
of LARA CROFT's computer friend BRYCE, a character which is
now played by NOAH TAYLOR. (ED/WENN/KMW)

It's all back Jon again
for Lisa. Dail Mirror July 27th 2001
Fun loving Lisa Faulkner has fallen back into the arms of
old flame Jonny Lee Miller - again. The pair, who have given
a new meaning to 'on - off affair', reunited after Lisa's
split with South Park creator Trey Parker. A week ago Trainspotting
star Jonny, 27 and Lisa spent the evening joined at the lips
at the Kaberet Club in front of the likes of Kate Moss. Despite
this display, we heard them hatching a plan to leave five
minutes apart to avoid being photographed together. This weekend
they were touchy feely again in the beer garden of a wimbledon
pub. So it looks like the ex-holby beauty Lisa, 26, and Jonny
are an item again after she told us last week that her year-long
transatlantic romance with Trey was finally over. "I've
finally left the cartoon hero," she said. Lisa and Jonny
originally had a fling a year ago when the actor was on a
break from All saint Natalie Appleton. |

Stars
come out for Bora Bora. Monday 4th June 2001
While the Space opening attracted hordes of clubbers and
industry hangers on, across the road at Bora Bora it was a
Night Of The Stars. While DJ Gee whipped up the party-goers
on the beach at Playa d’en Bossa with uplifting house, footballers,
film stars and models danced along at the island’s greatest
free night out. Brit Pack actors Johnny Lee Miller and Sean
Pertwee sashayed in the corner with a bevy of beauties including
model Jade Jagger. Over the other side of the bar, Leeds and
Scotland soccer star Dominic Matteo was enjoying a night out
during a short stay on the White Isle before he returns to
England for a knee op. Sean Pertwee revealed to ministryofsound.com
that he’d been visiting Ibiza all his life as his father Jon
— aka Dr Who and Worzel Gummidge — had a villa on the island
from the 1960s. Both he and Miller — who at one stage nabbed
a pair of high heels from one ministryofsound.com employee
and strutted around the patio — had recently completed movies
and were now enjoying a well-earned break.

Trainspotting
stars in running to play Rolling Stone Jones
Robert Carlyle and Jonny Lee Miller are hot favourites to
play Rolling Stones star Brian Jones in a £10 million biopic,
according to reports. Sources say the film will throw new
light on Jones' mysterious death in the swimming pool of his
Sussex home in 1969. The new movie, which may be titled Stoned,
will go into production next year. Shortly before his death
Jones had quit the Rolling Stones to pursue a solo career.
An insider told Ananova: "The story focuses almost entirely
on Jones as a morality story rather than the emergence of
the Rolling Stones. "It certainly raises some interesting
questions about his relationships with other members of the
band." The source added: "Mick Jagger is not involved and
is not collaborating on the screenplay."

St
Martins Lane Hotel, WC2 Monday 26 February 2001
Burberry and Tina Brown teamed up to throw a pre-Bafta party
on Saturday night. Together they created such a hotspot that
the traffic on St Martin's Lane was brought to a standstill.
Mick Jagger had a sudden attack of camera-shyness, and snuck
in the back entrance to avoid the paparazzi. Caprice was also
shielded from the flashbulbs - her agent saw to it that she
was not snapped, much to the model's chagrin. Davina McCall
and Cat Deeley seemed magnetically drawn towards Jonny Lee
Miller and his turquoise Richard James shirt. Normandie Keith
talked of her excitement at being lent 14 Valentino dresses
to choose from for her Bafta outing. Claudia Winkleman was
crowing over her luck at cheating London's waiting lists and
securing a pair of the new, much-coveted Chloe horse-picture
trousers. Once through the crowds of actors, producers, writers,
models and society babes, guests refuelled at the Asia de
Cuba buffet, before racing to nab a Burberry-check goodie
bag with a pass to the Sanderson's agua spa.

Thursday
1 February 2001
Some people would go to the opening of a block of flats.
Nicholson Estates has converted the 22-storey former MI6 headquarters
near Waterloo station into luxury apartments, and last night
they threw themselves a little party to celebrate. In keeping
with the building's former use, the party had a James Bond
theme. Gilberto Pretti from Dukes Hotel and Peter Dorelli
from The American Bar in The Savoy shook Dry Martinis in the
chalet room, and a cabaret singer belted out a couple of Shirley
Bassey numbers and other Bond theme tunes. Goldie seemed reluctant
to be snapped with Lady Victoria Hervey, despite her photogenic
new hairdo. Fran Cutler had been drafted in to do the guest
list and invited her goddaughter, Devon Aoki, who came with
her look-a-like sister. Other guests, including Bob Geldof
and Jonny Lee Miller, enjoyed bowls of polenta and glasses
of chocolate sundaes and brownies.

Nicole, now expecting Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher's child,
these have included Robbie Williams and Leonardo DiCaprio;
for Natalie, TV presenter Jamie Theakston and Trainspotting
actor Jonny Lee Miller. The book, which the siblings will

her to make contact after Miller falls for her on a train
journey. It is due to start filming in the spring. An insider

spark off each other. "Miller's role is basically American
but Ewan will be American Italian. "The accent is on comedy
